Twin Silo Park | Fort Collins Family Photographer
If you're looking for a beautiful location for family photos without driving into the mountains, Twin Silo Park in Fort Collins is one of my favorite hidden gems during the summer months. While Fort Collins has plenty of natural areas, it's surprisingly difficult to find colorful wildflowers that don't require visiting a paid garden. Twin Silo Park offers a wonderful combination of seasonal blooms, mature trees, and open walking paths—all completely free and easy to access.
One of the things I love most about Twin Silo Park is the variety it offers within a relatively small area. During the summer, the pollinator gardens fill with colorful wildflowers and native plants that create a soft, natural backdrop without feeling overly manicured. Just a short walk away, you'll find wide gravel paths, large shade trees, and a winding creek that photograph beautifully. This variety allows us to create an entire gallery with multiple backgrounds while staying in one convenient location.
As a Fort Collins family photographer, I know that convenience matters, especially when little ones are involved. Twin Silo Park has a large parking lot directly next to the garden, making it easy to unload kids, snacks, or strollers without a long walk. The flat trails are toddler-friendly, and because everything is close together, we can spend more time playing and capturing genuine moments instead of moving between locations.
If you're searching for good family photo locations in Fort Collins, Twin Silo is an excellent choice! It's one of my favorite places for families who want beautiful summer portraits without venturing far from town.
